The jump from 16 GB to 32 GB of memory and from a GTX 1080-class minimum to an RTX 3080 or RX 7800 XT recommendation is tied to a higher target: 1440p at 60 FPS using the High preset. These are publisher specifications, not NexusArc benchmark results, and real performance can vary by scene, driver, background workload, and final patches.

What kind of game is Zero Company?

Zero Company is a single-player, turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Players control Hawks, a former Republic officer leading an unconventional squad during the final period of the Clone Wars. Their target is the Infinite Coil, a Separatist-aligned cult connected to a threat called the Shadow Plague.

Combat uses action points for movement, attacks, assists, overwatch, reviving injured operators, and special abilities. Outside combat, the squad operates from the Den, a decommissioned cargo freighter at the Ring of Kafrene. Missions advance through tactical battles, while operations consume Intel and can provide items, credits, influence, or changes to relationships between squad members.

Squad bonds and permadeath can change a campaign

Operators develop bonds and combat synergies as they deploy together. The game also includes authored characters and custom operatives, allowing the player to alter appearances, loadouts, abilities, and Hawks’ specialization. Difficulty can be changed outside combat.

A separate permadeath option raises the stakes. According to Lucasfilm’s official beginner guide, an operator gains an injury when downed; three injuries can kill that character when permadeath is enabled. Players who want the story without that consequence can leave the option off.

What the launch information does not prove

This is a release report, not a review. EA’s target specifications describe intended settings but do not establish frame-time stability, image quality, controller feel, campaign length, or tactical depth in the shipping build. Those judgments require verified play and performance testing.

The confirmed buying information is narrower: the game launched simultaneously on current PlayStation and Xbox consoles plus three PC storefronts, requires 50 GB on PC, and starts at $49.99 through the EA app in the US. Store prices, taxes, and edition availability should be checked directly before purchase.
