New Nintendo Switch 2 Bundles: Prices, Release Dates, and Savings

Nintendo has announced two new Switch 2 bundles for the US market. A Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle costs $549.99 and arrives in late September 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle costs $529.99 and releases October 22. Both include a full digital game download and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership.

Nintendo Switch 2 bundle prices compared

The comparison uses the suggested retail prices in Nintendo’s official announcement. Nintendo calculates the savings against the suggested prices of the system, game, and membership purchased separately. Actual retailer pricing can differ, and the bundles are offered while supplies last.

What comes with the Mario Kart World bundle

The $549.99 package includes the Nintendo Switch 2 console, a full download of Mario Kart World, and a 90-day Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. Nintendo says the bundle will begin shipping in late September but has not supplied a specific day.

Compared with the standard console’s new $499.99 suggested price, the bundle costs $50 more. That extra amount covers the digital game and three months of the online service. Nintendo values the total discount at $37.98 versus buying the included items separately at their suggested prices.

What comes with the Switch Sports Resort bundle

The $529.99 package includes the same console and 90-day Individual Membership, plus a full digital download of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. It launches October 22, the same day as the game, and costs $30 more than the standard console’s September price.

Switch Sports Resort is exclusive to Switch 2 and returns to Wuhu Island with 12 motion-controlled activities. Nintendo’s announced list includes Prop Plane, Power Cruising, Boxing, Archery, Bowling, Thumb Wrestling, and Jump Rope. Local multiplayer may require additional accessories, and players should use the included wrist straps and leave enough physical space for motion play.

The included Nintendo Switch Online membership renews

Each bundle includes a three-month Individual Membership rather than a permanent online entitlement. Nintendo’s terms state that the membership automatically renews at the then-current price unless it is canceled. A Nintendo Account and internet connection are also required for online features, and the service is not available in every country.

That renewal detail matters when comparing the bundle against a console-only purchase. Buyers who do not want the subscription to continue should review the renewal setting on their Nintendo Account after redeeming the included membership.

Which bundle is the better value?

On Nintendo’s own MSRP calculation, the Mario Kart World package provides the larger dollar discount: $37.98 instead of $27.98. The Switch Sports Resort bundle, however, has the lower upfront price and a firm October 22 release date. The practical choice depends on which included game will actually be played; the nominal discount is not useful if the bundled download goes unused.

At the time of Nintendo’s announcement, pre-orders for the Switch Sports Resort bundle were described as “available soon” through Nintendo Store, Nintendo eShop, and participating retailers. Nintendo did not give a firm pre-order opening time, so listings that appear before the official storefront update should be checked carefully.
