Remedy Entertainment released CONTROL Resonant on September 24, 2026. The PC listing on Steam shows that date, while a Remedy post on PlayStation Blog names the PS5 release. The new lead is Dylan Faden, moving the series beyond Jesse Faden’s role in the first Control.

A different Faden in a changed city

The official description sends Dylan into Manhattan amid a paranatural crisis. Jesse remains part of the story, but this is Dylan’s journey rather than a retelling of her original investigation. Remedy presents the city as physically distorted, turning familiar streets into spaces that do not obey ordinary geometry.

Its main weapon, the Aberrant, changes form for close-range fighting, including a hammer and dual blades. That points to a different combat emphasis from the first game’s transforming firearm. It is a description of the announced systems, not a judgment about how responsive the final combat feels.

Where the release stands

The Steam page identifies Remedy as both developer and publisher of the PC version and lists the game as single-player. The PS5 release was separately confirmed by Remedy. Players comparing platforms should check each store for their region’s availability and hardware requirements rather than assuming the PC listing covers console editions.

NexusArc has not conducted a performance review or hands-on comparison. The confirmed news here is the launch, the change of protagonist and the game’s altered setting and weapon system. Whether the new approach improves on Control remains a question for actual play.
